Modern Car Dashboard
This is a smaller, personal project of mine. The idea simply came from making a modern, screen-based instrument cluster with a retro-inspired design.
I started with a simple wireframe with text. This was simply to get an idea of what I needed and where the different indicators and guages could be placed.
The biggest challenge was to find a balance between aesthetics and practicality. Something unique but still recognizable and easy to read.
I decided to go with a teal color, popular in 1950s. To give the accent some style, I chose to go with a golden/orange color. The important bits like the needles and warnings remain red.
I made everything of the project and the edit below. The car itself is not my own and is merely to demonstrate how it could look in reality.
